Located in the centre of Grenoble close to Paul-Mistral Park, the 18,000-capacity Stade des Alpes was built on the site of the Stade Charles-Berty, which was demolished in 2003. The stadium has been home to GF38 since it opened in February 2008 and now plays host to rugby side FC Grenoble Rugby as well, while also having welcomed international football. France's men's team overcame Ecuador 2-0 at the Stade des Alpes in a warm-up game ahead of UEFA EURO 2008, and the women's side appeared there for the first time in 2016, during a tour of candidate cities for the FIFA Women's World Cup™ 2019. That same year, the French Women's Cup final was held at the ground.
